How you will make an impact
Your work will support the delivery of projects and help us develop solutions that respond to the needs of our clients and society.
Through your contribution, you will help support projects that create a positive impact for clients, communities and the environment.
Your activities may include:
· Work with stakeholders to clarify business needs, constraints and success criteria; assess feasibility, prioritise use cases and compare AI, non-AI and build-versus-buy options.
· Support the development of maintainable Python, ML and GenAI/LLM solutions, including assistants, RAG systems, prompt and context engineering, structured outputs, function calling and reusable agentic workflows.
· Build document ingestion and data pre-processing pipelines from authorised SharePoint, Azure and web sources, and integrate APIs, databases and enterprise services with reliable error handling and documentation.
· Define and run tests for grounding, hallucination risk, reliability, latency and cost; support cloud deployment, LLMOps versioning, monitoring and regression management, and optimise model selection, tokens, caching and processing modes.
· Apply security and governance controls, including RBAC, data minimisation, content filtering, prompt-injection and leakage safeguards, permissions, context boundaries and human approval for sensitive actions; document and share outcomes to support reuse across business and IT teams.
The exact responsibilities will depend on the team, business needs and learning objectives of the internship.

Essential requirements:
· A degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, data science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
· Strong Python and software engineering skills, including version control, testing, debugging, modular design, documentation and API integration
· Knowledge of machine-learning fundamentals and practical AI development experience, including applied projects
· Understanding of LLM limitations, RAG, embeddings and retrieval, with the ability to use prompting, context engineering, structured outputs and function calling and to evaluate results critically
· Ability to work with structured and unstructured data, query databases and develop reliable ingestion and integrations, with an understanding of deployment, monitoring, security and data protection
· Professional English for documentation, meetings and international collaboration, together with strong organisation, problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills, curiosity and an interest in emerging technologies
Preferred skills: Familiarity with agentic workflows and an interest in multimodal AI applications. Advanced multi-agent experience is not required.
We do not expect you to know everything. We are looking for curiosity, motivation and willingness to learn.
Duration and working arrangements
· Duration: 6 months
· Location: Torino
· Working model: Onsite
· Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
· Expected start date: early November
Compensation and Benefits
WSP offers an internship allowance of €800 gross per month, in line with applicable regulations and company policies.
